Appointment to the Industrial Development Agency and Tompkins 2 County Development Corporation Board of Directors - Submitted by 3 Legislator John

WHEREAS, Section 856 of the General Municipal Law authorized that the Tompkins County Legislature
5 designate the members of the Tompkins County Industrial Development Agency (TCIDA) by resolution, and

7 WHEREAS, members of the TCIDA who are also members of the Tompkins County Legislature shall be
8 appointed annually by the Chair of the County Legislature subject to the approval of the Legislature, and
9
10 WHEREAS, non-legislator board members shall be appointed for two-year terms by the same process, and
11
12 WHEREAS, due to the recent resignation of an at-large board member, a vacancy will exist on the TCIDA
13 with a term ending on December 31, 2024, now therefore be it
14
15 RESOLVED, on recommendation of the Chair of the Legislature, That Jerry Dietz, be appointed to the
16 Industrial Development Agency as an at-large member, to serve at the pleasure of the Legislature, effective
17 immediately, with a term expiring December 31, 2024.

19 RESOLVED, further, That the members of the Industrial Development Agency are hereby appointed to serve
20 on the Tompkins County Development Corporation Board of Directors,
21
22 RESOLVED, further, That the Clerk of the Legislature is authorized and directed to file with the Secretary of
23 State a Certificate of Appointment
